2016 Magnum Offering
2017 750mL Offering
Today we are releasing two wines, our 2016 depiction in 3-magnum presentation boxes, and our 2017 depiction in standard 750mL bottles.
Our 2016 magnums are packaged with original artwork segment labels in a presentation box of 3, a print of original artwork, a canvas grid showing the original location of your three labels, and a folio.
Our commissioned artist for 2016 is Steve Scott. Steve is an Australian born, London based, Illustrator and Animator whose work has appeared broadly in publications from The Wall Street Journal and Washington Post, to the Robb Report. His corporate clientele includes Apple and Google, and he even designed the backdrop for Led Zeppelin’s stage in their 2007 reunion concert. His work is diverse, colorful, and influenced strongly by Tintin, a childhood favorite.
The commissioned work is titled “Station to Station”, and was digitally printed on a 48” x 36” canvas. Living through the pandemic year of 2020, with its quarantining and sheltering at home, the frenetic work showing travelers coming and going, with buskers busking, business transacting, and life being lived as “normal” provided a welcomed reminder.
2016 Vintage Note
High toned pomegranate, stone fruit pit, crushed violet, bay laurel, and pie crust aromas. Juicy cut to the entry, gorgeous equilibrium of fruit, acid and tannin in the mouth. Medium weight, restrained, pure and pretty. Persistent clean finish of cassis bud, marzipan, with a light milk chocolate undertone. This is an absolutely gorgeous representation of the vineyard and will drink well from release for a minimum of 25 years.
2017 once again proved out how a great vineyard terroir will persist through a broad diversity of vintages. Despite our early concerns about a late season heat spike causing rusticity of tannins, the 2017 depiction exhibits the exact opposite, velvety, fine grained, perfectly integrated tannins. The fruit quality is decidedly red and fresh, the density lighter than 2015 or 2016, but the finesse exhilarating. Offered here in standard size bottles with “blank canvas” label, this wine will be released in 3-pack magnums next release.
We are offering the three-magnum box of 2016 depiction for $1650, and single 750mL bottles of our 2017 depiction for $135. If you would like to purchase, please review the policies below and click through to provide payment and shipping information. Thank you for your kind support.
